nagbabagang balita

it's relieving (emotionally and financially) to know that Pops is back home from his one week stint in the hospital. i've been very sad and errr grumpy the past week. i think i deserve this weekend and just spend it home and get some rest - as opposed to the last two weekends spent in the hospital attending to the old man and going to the office to discuss a topic on banking policy. in fairness, it was a fruitful week. what with pops not having to breathe through artificial oxygen for 3 days already. yay!

jillykins and i also represented the Bank during Divine WOrd College of Legazpi's (DWCL) Jobs Fair at their college quadrangle. We interviewed about 16 applicants - 5 are for further interview by the HR Officer. Not a good turn-out really compared to last year's Jobs Fair organized by Bicol University (my alma mater). Let it be noted that DWCL didn't even bother giving out snacks to their guests. It would be a good (Christianly) gesture on their part if they did so. Let it also be mentioned that last year Bicol University gave snacks, lunch and t-shirts to the participating companies. Not that i'm turning down DWCL but wtfg Bicol University!
