ART attack

Yay to the M&P for handing me down their AC. They've just purchased a better one so it's automatic I get the old one. :-)

It's up and running as of press time. But one thing needs to be sorted out. It's the decorative X's on the upper part of my bedroom wall. It's open and will let the air pass from my bedroom to the living room through it.

Eureka!

Your friendly venting mechanic thought of something to solve the problem.

I bought illustration board and white glue last night. I also printed out some pics; if only my printer did not ran out of ink. Pfft. I pasted pics to the illustration board and painted white glue over it to get the glossy effect. I measured the decorative X's so I will just have to tuck or nail the boards over them when it's all done.

Here are some of the finished boards. I admit, I may still have to improve them.

Also, yesterday, Jonalyn and I hiked up KawaKawa Hill to just sweat out the Saturday boredom. We also got to ride a horse - all for P15 pesos. We each let a kid join us on the horse ride. The kids we're stoked!

Too bad I forgot to take pics. Mainly because I dont have a camera. Heh.

I did manage to take a pic of the JC nailed on the cross. It's supposed to be a pic of JC with me but one of the Hill care takers was being such an killjoy. "No stepping on the concrete. It's only made of light materials! I'm sure you don't want to pay for it." WTF.

M&M - Day 4

March 16, 2009, Monday

Max is excited - especially because he was a frustrated dancer last night - or something else hehe.

I promised him we'll stay in Legazpi tonight. And i promised him more - he's gonna have a taste of batchoy too! Plus we're having dinner at Megz.

We had to hike up KawaKawa hill first before getting ready for Legazpi. Kawakawa is local term for "cauldron". The hill's top is shaped like one. That's how it's got its name. It's also visible the time we're about to land Legazpi via Cebu Pacific air. The view was awesome.

Max and I got to see all the stations of the cross (you know what I mean right?) Each scene/station is depicted by life-size concrete images of JC and company. We tried to take pics of the stations but more so we tried to enjoy the quiet atmosphere up top. It was around 8:30 a.m. and i think it's the best to go to hill and enjoy everything - the view, fresh air, semi-romantic atmosphere amongst swinging monkeys, fruiting pineapple plants and die-hard catholics wandering about the depiction of the passion of their christ.

But romantic trips must come to a time-out. We had to go home and get ready to go to Legazpi.

It's interesting to note that the movie shown in the bus is another comedy movie - Wayne's World. I think Max liked it.

Remembering my promise to Max, we stayed at the Pepperland Hotel instead of spending the night at Megz's house. It's a nice place. Cozy. It's owned by the Bichara family. The older Bichara has been a long time Congressman for the 3rd district of Albay (where Im from). Now the younger Bichara, AL Francis, took his father's role. It was also quite trivial for me to know that papa and mama Bichara live in the hotel. They are billeted at Room 101 for life. Or something like that.

We had "batchoy" at the Bicol University with my officemates, dinner at Megz's with her family and night out with my Ate's and Kuya's (ate - elder sister, kuya - elder brother).

It was Max's night to experience typical Pinoy fun at night. Good booze, good company but not-so-equally good showband who play not-so-equally good songs. The place was called Ninong's (Godfather's) which, just to relate it with Max, has a Mafia ring in it.

We went back to the hotel with bodies ready to hit the hay. Thank god for twin beds.
